The San Juan Islands have recently received two distinctions which punctuate the remarkeable beauty and cultural history of this area. The Islands have been designated Washington’s newest Scenic Byway and Friday Harbor, San Juan Island was recently named one of the twelve distinctive destinations from the National Historic Preservation Trust.
